A Two-Act Play by Errol Strider and Lou Montgomery

About the Play

Family Baggage is a powerful and often hilarious theatrical experience exploring codependency, addictions, control, approval-seeking, hurt and protection, family dynamics, and the possibility of healing. Through humor, drama, and unforgettable characters, the play reveals the invisible emotional scripts that shape our relationships—and reminds us that those scripts can be changed.

Originally written by Errol Strider and Lou Montgomery, Family Baggage has helped audiences laugh, reflect, and gain fresh insight into themselves and the people they love.

Together with its companion workshop, Unloading Your Baggage, Family Baggage has served as a catalyst for personal insight, meaningful conversation, and recovery in treatment centers, churches, community organizations, and other settings.
